"Tenacity and survival skills can be admirable qualities, but in this case Mr Seitz's success reflects badly on his party. Branch stacking has been repeatedly condemned by senior Labor members. While it persists, the ALP will be contaminated with the stain of hypocrisy, as well as by its own dependence on anti-democratic machinations. The party's refusal to eradicate this behaviour has already had serious consequences.
